My name is Elizabeth Krecker and I come from a family who became wine aficionados long before wine tasting was popular. I grew into an ardent love of California wine in the late 1960s when my family moved to Lucas Valley, California.

Lucas Valley lies in the northernmost region of Marin County, just south of Sonoma County and barely west of now-famous Napa Valley. At the tender age of 12, my parents often took me on their frequent wine country tours of this burgeoning wine community.

No one seemed to much care about age in the late 1960s and California’s winemakers always gave me tiny tastes of wine. It was here that my love affair with wine first began.

Now, I live in Arizona which has a burgeoning winemaking community of its own, much like Napa Valley in the 1960s. To celebrate my lifelong love of wine, I studied viticulture and winemaking, and I became a certified sommelier. I enjoy serving wine from California, France, Italy, Spain, Portugal, Croatia, Australia, New Zealand, Arizona, Colorado, Idaho, Virginia…and more.
